Privacy Policy

Ekkos does not sell personal data, run advertising, or operate an analytics backend. Your library stays on your device and in your private iCloud account unless you choose to add a recording to a shared group. DATA WE STORE • Audio recordings, optional photos, GPS coordinates, and metadata you enter (titles, tags, notes) are saved locally and sync automatically through your private CloudKit container when iCloud is available. • When you add a recording to a shared group, its audio, photo/thumbnail, title, date, location, and your display name are transmitted through Apple CloudKit and made available to that group's members. Removing the recording or deleting/unsharing the group removes that shared access after CloudKit processes the change. • Anniversaries are scheduled as local notifications. Apple does not see their content. DATA WE DON'T STORE • No analytics events. • No crash reports outside Apple's standard frameworks. • ONNX Runtime is bundled for on-device audio enhancement. It makes no network connection and audio never leaves the device for enhancement. • No developer-operated account or server. Sign in with Apple is used only to identify shared-group participants and their chosen display name. PERMISSIONS We request microphone, camera, location, and notifications. Each is requested with clear context inside the app — never on launch. YOUR RIGHTS (GDPR, CCPA, DPDP) Delete recordings inside the app to remove local and private-iCloud copies as synchronization completes. For shared copies, remove the recording from the group, stop sharing/delete an owned group, or leave a joined group. You can also delete Ekkos data in Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage.
